The Willie Creek Pearl Meat Cook-Off is back again! Broome’s best chefs will create pearl meat masterpieces that capture ‘the essence of Old Broome’ as they compete for the cook-off crown. Come and taste their creations, enjoy a drink, live music and entertainment.
Join us from 3.30pm at Pearl Luggers in the heart of Chinatown. Our special guest judge this year is celebrity chef Adam Liaw!
Gates open at 3.30pm – winner announced at 5pm – event close 7.30pm
This year’s theme will ask chefs to deliver a dish which captures the essence of Old Broome, the days when the pearling industry was thriving and the influence of Japanese, Malaysian and many other Asian cultures was shaping not only the town itself, but its unique culinary culture as well.
