The Broome Dragon Boat Regatta is one of the major events on Broome’s sporting calendar and is also Broome Rotary’s biggest annual fund-raising event. It is a family friendly day open to everyone to participate or just watch all the action. The combined participation and support of Broome community groups, businesses and supporters is a vital ingredient for making the Dragon Boat Regatta such a successful event. The members of Broome Rotary extend their thanks and appreciation to all who have helped and continue to give support.
Time: The Regatta commences at 8.30am with the Captains’ briefing, followed by a team march past and “Dotting of the Eyes” ceremony, with the first race starting by 9:00am (to be confirmed closer to the event day)
Sweeps: Sweeps should attend a training session prior to Race Day

Entry Fee: $700 per team – Must be paid at least four weeks prior to the Regatta. Payment can be made by cheque payable to “Rotary Club of Broome” or by direct credit to:

Please Note: No BYO alcohol. Alcohol and soft drinks will be available for purchase on site on the day. Funds generated from the sale of food and drinks supports Rotary community and charitable activities.
Team captains are responsible for instructing their team members in the race rules and racing technique prior to the races to ensure participants are fully informed. Each individual team member must read and sign both the acceptance of rules and disclaimer form.
