Pollies Pearl

The inaugural Pollies Pearl was held in 2005 as the result of an idea introduced by the Shinju Matsuri Committee that year and was a success for all those involved.

The concept behind the Pollies Pearl was to ask the 7 Members of Parliament whose electorates cover Broome, to each contribute equal amounts, and the combined total of those contributions used to purchase a pearl to be auctioned during the Festival.

This year Pollies Pearl will be raffled at all Shinju Matsuri events to allow all members of the community to contribute to Shinju Matsuri fundraising and have the chance to win the beautiful Pollies Pearl.
