For 42 years the full moon late August or September, Shinju Matsuri has celebrated Broome through 10 days of events. The Opening Ceremony, Float Parades, Mardi Gras and Carnival of Nations, Art Awards, Pets in the Park, Senior Citizens Morning Tea, Closing Ceremony and Fireworks are all free for the everyone to attend.
Experience the Broome style ‘Long Table Lunch’ or kick up your heels at the ‘Matsuri Gala Night’, experience the new 'Tura Music' performance or share our local Yawuru peoples culture at the Story, Dance, Language and Song events.
